We are delighted to announce a new price structure for our trakPack libraries. You can now purchase bundles of 10 loops for the great price of $1.99, bundles of 20 loops for $3.49, bundles of 30 loops for $4.99 and bundles of 100 loops for $14.99.
You won’t find better discounts on royalty-free loops anywhere else on the net. To coincide with these new great prices, we’ve decided to concentrate this weblog on explaining what royalty-free music is and how you the consumer can use them.
Royalty-free Music at its simplest, commonly refers to stock or ‘library music’ licensed for a single fee, without the need to pay any subsequent royalties.
Royalty Free refers to a type of contract between two individuals (the licensor (us) and licensee (you)), that is employed when licensing the rights to use content such as music. The term Royalty Free means that once the content is licensed under a set of guidelines, the licensee (you) is normally free to use the content as much as you like without paying additional royalty charges. For example, when you purchase a loop bundle(s) and/or full length track(s) from trakAx.com, you are not obtaining ownership of the sounds - you are in fact purchasing a license to use the sounds within your musical compositions, whether or not your compositions are released commercially (i.e. selling your songs). The original producer of the sounds will always remain the owner of the sounds. With regards to trakAx loops, you may use the sounds in combination with other sounds within trakAxPC/ trakAxMobile or other software packages to create your musical compositions. You may release such compositions commercially without payment of any further fees or royalties for such usage. This also covers any videos/mixes/songs that you want to post online.
With regards to our royalty-free full length tracks, users have the right to synchronize the audio content from any Royalty Free Music library (without any further payments) with audio and/or visual productions or applications such as film & video productions, training and marketing presentations, corporate videos, on-hold messages, radio presentations or commercials, television presentations or commercials, musical recordings, etc.
Royalty Free does not normally mean free. It only refers to a specific licensing contract between two entities. The licensor, usually the content creator, always retains all copyright to the content, including the ability to distribute it, or allow redistribution – in regards to trakAx.com, you cannot use the sounds in isolation (i.e. when not within musical compositions/mix) as part of a commercially released project - for instance you cannot use the sounds to make another sample CD, or “library music” sound file album, or multimedia sound library CD-ROM.
The concept of Royalty Free comes from copyright, a law that allows authors and publishers of works to control the use of their work, and to set fees associated with that work. The economic incentives afforded by copyright give artists one way to make a living through their creative works.
