Over 100,000 Visitors to trakAx.com!
Wednesday, December 12, 2007

What’s in a number? Well, they can make you feel pretty good! We’re delighted to announce that we passed the 100,000 unique visitor mark within the first 60 days of going live (115,000 to be precise). Over 50,000 people have also downloaded trakAxPC (this is the number downloading from the trakAx.com site - the app is also available from a number of third-party sites). We’ve had a great first 60 days and we’d like to say thanks to everyone who has visited the site from all around the world.

If you have a Windows Mobile Device, you should check out trakAxMobile as soon as possible - it's available for almost all Windows 5 & 6 QVGA devices (320x240/240x320 screens). The video above is made entirely with the application - I recorded the video using the phone's video camera, I recorded in the voiceover using the built-in mic (the sound could be better, but not too bad) and the screenshots were put into a slideshow - all the components were then mixed using trakAxMobile with an additional soundtrack and some credits.

image TIP

If like me, your camera phone doesn't take the best videos, resize the videos before you embed them into your blog. So for example, the normal YouTube video is 425x355. Simply change the 'embed' code dimensions to something like 300x247 (once you keep the dimensions uniform, the video will look great). With YouTube videos you need to change the dimensions at the start and end of the code. For example the Vimeo video above dimensions are 400x327 - but as the HTC video input is pretty low, I changed the dimensions of the embedded video to 300x245, so that the video looks slightly clearer.

With so many people downloading trakAxPC, trakAxMobile and trakPacks, we want you to share your creations with us. We set up a special area on the forums for you to share your videos and music links on YouTube/mySpace/Bebo/Facebook/MetaCafé/Vimeo/Veoh/eSnips etc., wherever you like to share - to get feedback from other users and get your work noticed. We will feature any particularly cool/interesting stuff on this site and we're really looking forward to seeing what you're up to with either the PC and Mobile apps or how you've used the trakPacks. We don't care what the content or context is (once it's clean!). Check it out now!

Just a quick note to say what a very cool program this is. A fellow musician posted the link in the Kristal Audio Engine forum, and I am glad that he did!

I have been playing with it for 5 hours and am having a blast! Keep up the GREAT work!
