sorry, one other thing, will v4 support mp mp4 files without having to run them through another conversion program (mine are sanyo roduces 1080p 60fps) as the best I seem to get after conversion is 720p 30fps which is a real shame to loose half the frame rate.

thanks for the post. We are still on for the end of October. We are testing the application at the moment and ironing out the last of the remaining bugs. The beta version will be available for all users who have purchased the app and would like to test it.

Oh man, an epic update to an already great piece of software and just in time to use it with GoPro’s new camera which is also an epic update to an already great camera. This is why GoPro and TrakAx is still the official camera and software of our car club.

Interesting… still on for end of October, and you’ve posted the comment on the 30th Nov. So, can anyone clarify an accurate ETA?

I have a project deadline coming up that requires the features of TA4, and if this isn’t available within the next week, I’m going to have to move on and find another editor. I’d rather not, but if the release date keeps getting pushed back I’ll have no choice.

Hi TrackAx team, I’ve been using your software for about two years now and have made many great video mixes from the outdoor music festivals I film. However I am finding the number of video effects lacking and would like stuff like water waves, solarisation and other distortions of the actual video footage.

Also I would like to see the ability to slide in the collaged images or videos. To put it another way I wish to have either a blank/coloured or imaged background and have the smaller collages of video footage come on from the side, the top or the corner and perhaps even starting small then increasing in size as they reach the center.

I hope such features can be incorperated in future versions asap.

Thanks for your post and your kind comments. We have been working extremely hard on this new upgrade and will have a beta version ready shortly.

We have added a new “Slide In” and “Slide Out” effect which will give you full control over how your images, videos and text will enter the screen and works very well with collaging. We are still working on adding more video effects and this will be something we will be continually adding to once the new version is out.

I own the 3.0 copy. The improvements are great. Especially the transparent PNGs feature. If you would add blending modes between channels (add / mix / overlay / multiply / screen / etc.) as in GIMP or Photoshop, that would be extremely useful for some post-processing of the videos.

We’ve been waiting quite a while now 4 this new release, with great anticipation - so is there an actual date yet?

I purchased trackaxpc pro way back in 2010 with the understanding that a trakaxpc-pro 4 version would be released sometime in 2011. I received ‘sneak previews’ of trakax 4 on youtube and also the forums and was told directly that version 4 would be out in 2011. I cannot import .flv videos and have over 100 gbs of them and converting them all would be too time consuming. Trakax 3 is not much use to me without this facility so can you tell me if and when this promised version is being released ? I notice all mention of this has been deleted from your site. +1. The lack of communication on this note is starting to make TX4 look a lot like vaporware. I hope I’m wrong, but I have seen this before, and this is what it looks like.

I completely understand your comments and frustrations and apologise for the delay, however I can assure you we will definitely be releasing a beta version of trakAxpc 4 very soon. There have been a few issues that have been out of our control and we are working extremely hard to get this version out. There will be a blog post later on today with more details.
