Hi Everyone,

Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our users for their commitment, support and patience over last number months. It has been a long slog for everyone involved and we are delighted to announce that the beta version of trakAxPC 4 is almost ready for testing. We are currently implementing our Nalpeiron protection software and support tutorials and once we have validated the beta version, we will be announcing the release date for the full version shortly afterwards.

With the release of the beta version of trakAxPC 4 imminent, I have created a new video to highlight some the new features available, as well as demonstrating the quality and professional output one can achieve with trakAxPC. I also hope to prove that one can create a great looking HD video with very little money. The video was shot with a Kodak Zi8 ($179, .MOV), a tripod ($20) and edited with trakAxPC 4 (Beta). Below, I have provided a detailed description of the video creation process and hopefully it will provide some ideas and inspiration when creating your next video.

I really enjoy using the software as it is easy to learn and the video tutorials really help on the learning curve. I have noticed that the fonts are not very clear. No matter what font I use for the credits or intro scenes, they are jagged and blurred. Is there any way to improve the quality of the fonts? Here is a link to a video I made using TrakAx: http://youtu.be/RWTMaQZopXI Notice how all the fonts are fuzzy or jagged. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I like this programme but find it a bit difficult to get on with , Anyway
I am looking for help on making a video mix with Picture in picture.
to give you an example , I am trying to find out how to make a video , or combine 2 videos , one ex, distance shot of me playing the piano and in the top right the second vid is a close up the hands , and things like that for teaching purposes, also if there is sound on both videos then they must be synced up , or use the principal sound from First video , but the movement still must be in sync...if you know what I mean...Im sure this topic is here I just cant seem to find it
Thanks

Hello,

I sometimes make music video’s in which I sing and/or play all of the parts and instruments. I record myself while singing/playing and combine all recordings into one video. I often create a multi-screen to show 4 or more recordings at the same time. For a 4-way screen I zoom out each recording segment to about 50% (I do make sure to size them up evenly), so four smaller screens will fit in 1 normal sreen, like in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVhs-k1hFx4

I have problems lining the four sreens in this video up so they will all be evenly placed in each corner. Also, when I want to place another segment in the exact same spot, it doesn’t always end up right. In the previeuw screen, everything looks nice and perfect but once rendered to the actual video, I can see small shifts in placement. In the second half of the video, the guitar segment in the upper left corner is taken from a second take on recording this instrument. I tried to place both segments in the same spot but the latter is shifted downwards one or two pixels. When I place my singing segements over the instrument segments, it also doesn’t always exactly line up so sometimes, one line of pixels from the instrument segement appears from behind the singing segement that is placed on top. I need to leave those instrument segments on, at least when I fade the singing segements in and out.

My question ; is there a way to make sure that I’ve placed my segments in the exact same spot as the one that preceeds them in that part of the screen?

Greetings, JJ

I know you can capture a still picture from the Preview but doing so it’s hard to capture it at just the right moment or of you want to capture muliple pictures you have to open up the preview over and over. It’s be nice if that feature was over on the Trak Kutter where you can move the scroll bar right or left then capture the picture on the percise moment. Or is there an easier why on the preview slide? BTW I love this software had it now a couple of weeks and it’s much easier then Edit Studio
