Follow trakAx on Twitter

I’ve been experimenting with Twitter over the last week and you can follow our Twitter thread at: http://twitter.com/trakax

We’re still figuring how best to use the system, but think it should be pretty handy for quick updates and news that doesn’t always warrant a full blog post. We’ll be keeping it pretty much all trakax-related, so won’t be twittering when I am taking a coffee break etc.

Feel free to ‘follow’ us on Twitter - would be great to see how some of you guys might be using it, so we will follow back to see what you’re up to.

In other news, we’ve almost completely uploaded all the new royalty-free full track content in the Loop section - all the World Music and Punk tracks are now live and worth checking out.

As always, if you’ve got any questions on any of our products, please just drop us a line on the forum or by email and we’ll make every effort to answer your queries quickly and efficiently.

Thanks and bye for now from sunny Dublin.

More for TrackAx?

I love TrackAx!!! I found it a few months ago & it just about saved my life. My old Vestax 4 Track Tape Recorder had gone down for the count & I really didn’t have money to put into something new. Now, I’ve begun making better recordings than ever by just plugging my mixer directly into the PC sound card & laying down tracks in TrackAx. I get better control & sound, speedier production, and have more brain power to give to the music instead of fighting tape hiss & switch control battles… and it’s all for free. This ROCKS!!!!!!!

My only question is, will you add MIDI support? I don’t think that it works all that well with live audio but, I’ve begun using another great free program, TuxGuitar. This has also helped me greatly because I can quickly lay down the actual music score of my work. This is not only good for sharing with other musicians & students via PDF but, it also helps me to structure a song to be more purposefully interesting & dynamic. If TrackAx had the same MIDI features of TuxGuitar… WoW! The MIDI track could be used as a backbone for song construction & simply muted for the rendering process unless desired otherwise.

Thanks !

highlight and drag multiple tracks

maybe theres a way to do this but i couldnt figure out how.. anyway, basically id like to be able to highlight multiple tracks and then drag them where i want them. right now after you highlight something you can drag the highlight zone but not the tracks. to get around this for now ive just highlighted the tracks and then cut and pasted them where i wanted them, which works, but takes a few tries to get the tracks exactly where you want them.

Make pan possible for surround speakers (so also rear front pan possible next to already existing left right pan)

I don’t know if it is possible or not, to generate an output file that contains (dolby) surround sound, so making it possible to use pan to choose between front and rear speakers (like now possible for left and right speakers).
I just started to use this tool, but it looks really great. I think that windows movie maker and Arcsoft showbiz are history for me.
Congratulations !

Site Slow? Improvements happening!

Hi - apologies if the site has been slightly slow over the last day or so. Due to increased demand for both the trakAxPC and trakAxMobile applications, we are currently upgrading our hosting (which is a good complaint!) and we should be back to a smooth service in the next hour or so.

Thanks for your patience and your support.
