Hi All

In this post I will include tips and tricks videos to try help you get a better understanding of the software and some cool things you can do with it. I hope to include at least one new video a day. If you have any suggestions for videos that you would like or would like to include your own, Please do.

I can’t pût à video shot with a caméra

Sorry for my english i’m french. My problem is that i can’t put a video that i took with my caméra on trakaxpc but i can put all thé others video of my computer on it. Can you help me and explain me why ?

Drag and drop multiple files on the mixing window

I am trying to select multiple files from the Media Browser and drop them into the mixing window so that they end up sequentially (i.e. end-to-end) rather than vertically (all at the same point on the timeline).

claims:

“IF you drag multiple files or a folder from the Media Browser or Media Manager into the Mixing Window, you will be presented with the “Paste Options” window. This window indicates which file types are being imported and gives you the flexibilty to arrange the files the way you want. “

However, I never see the Paste Options window. The files are immediately placed vertically, and I have to select and move each by hand.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to achieve the desired outcome?

Can I put a part of a video (like a person walking only) over another video

An example will be one video I am walking and the other video is of a high way. I would like to find out how I can put myself walking on the highway.

Delete an area of mix to create a new start point

Hi all

I did a quick tips and tricks video to show you how to delete an area of a mix so you can create a new start point. This is particularly handy if you want to keep 2 or more pieces of video in sync and you do not want to move them.

Note: it is important you turn off the snap to grid option to get extact editing: See wiki:

M2TS and New Release

I just bought the software and planned to use it for editing and mixing my HD videos from the Sony handhelds. However, after I bought it, I realized that this software does not support M2TS and .MOV at the current time. Searching through the forum I noticed the new expected release should solve this problem – but the new release has been promised “coming shortly” since June 2010. Is there a firm date for this release or is it currently work in progress.

Any help is appreciated

Text that follows someone?!

Hey,
i would like to know if there is an option that allows me to let text follow someone or something.
For example if Bob runs through my movie i would like to have a text that says “Bob” over his head all the time while he is moving through the screen in random direction.
So i am searching for an effect where i can tell the text where it has to be at specific point in time.
thanks for your help, sadly i couldnt find what i was searching for in any videos or in the wiki.

Problems with rendering

I am having troubles with rendering. I am not sure if it has to do with my codecs or what it is. But I spent 7 hours last night putting together some in game footage. On preveiw of the mix everything played well it even did everything I wanted and it looked great. I go to render my video so I could upload it to you tube. watch the rendered copy and credits played well. But the video freeze frames once the actual video footage I worked with started to play and the music kept going. I believe it is an issue I got with my codecs but I can’t seem to figure it out. Is there anything anyone can do to help me?

How to add an Old Grainy Film effect to your footage using trakAxPC Pro

In this video I show you how you can create an old film effect on your footage using trakAxPC Pro. In the video I explain how you can control the video brightness of clips in order to blend different pieces of footage together and how you can add in a time leader at the beginning to give it that authentic look.

The Main Video is from my Sanyo Camcorder which I shot in HD Mp4.

I used YouTube Downloader HD in order to download some of the grainy effect footage from YouTube (free):

Adding fades on text credits in trakAxPC Pro

I did this video for user who asked how can you fade in and out of text credits in trakAxPC Pro.
I show how you add fade indicators to introduce fades or you can insert a volume brightness envelope.
