is there anyone out there who can help please. I have a 02 XDA Trion and I have downloaded the free trial but it wont install. I am running windows Vista home edition and installing via active sync. the installer runs on vista then it says check device when i do the device says installation unsuccessful. I would very much like to try this program before I buy. Many thanks

Hi Jaystepper,

Firstly, can you make ensure that you downloaded the trial version of trakAxMobile for PocketPC (rather than Smartphone).
Then, ensure you have enough space on your device to install trakAxMobile - you can install the application on a SD card if you have limited space.

I downloaded the trakAxMobile for pocket pc and I Have attempted To install on both the main memory and storage card in which both destinations have enough free memory. the installation completes on my host PC and the install prompts the following (install in the default directory), in which i have tried yes and no. when I click no I have then the choice of where i want to install. when install prompts to check the device my device says (Installation of HighAndes Trak-ax studio.CAB was unsuccessful) the installation progress bar on my device does not even show. I do not usually have any problems installing software and I was wandering if there was anything required for my device. I am running a samsung 400mhz processor with wm6 operating system. I also have plenty of free space to install this application. This program looks brill and I do look forward to trying this product. I hope this issue can be resolved. Many thanks.

Hi Jaystepper,

We have been investigating your issue today.

We think that it may be caused by one of the following problems:

(1)There is a clash of some software that you have installed (2)Very reduced available memory due to a high number of applications running on the device or (3)a virus on your PC is corrupting the cab file.

I think the best way forward is to ask you to email, if possible, the installation log file, this should tell us the failure step and hopefully the root cause of the problem.

You should try to install the application, when it fails, if you go to File Explorer on the device and email the following file to us at :

\Application Data\Volatile\setup.log

I’ve attached an image that will hopefully help you locate this file - please see setup_log.jpg.

I hope we can resolve this issue for you quickly and many thanks again.

LOL I got the program to work. thank you for your help. I think it could possibly be a software conflict.
I hard reseted my phone and using the add/remove program feature on windows mobile device centre i checked the box next to trakAxMobile for PocketPC and walla the program installed. just been trying out this faboulus piece of software only got seven days to try so im busy mixing it down. Thanks again for you help and your support has been outstanding. I look forward to purchasing this program it seems well worth the doh.  cool smirk
