Noob here.

My hat is off to who ever made this program, I think I will enjoy it very much.

I do have one concern and question… First note this is NOT to point blame, or accuse, or assume anything wrong going on. This is so I can better decide to allow or not certian functions this program does to happen on my machine.

TrakAx wanted or wants access to my screen as in it can then capture what is on it. I would like to know and understand why, and what this is used for by this program. Again, I am not assuming it is malware, or trying sneaky things on me. As for now I have deactivated that feature of TrakAx until I know more about why it is needed.

Other than that this is one really cool program so far.

Can you show or explain us where trakaxPC is trying to access your screen so I can explain what is happening? You can access support and video tutorials from the support button but that just brings you to the forum and video tutorials. TrakaxPC will not try and access your screen for anything else.

On your questions about bringing multiple tracks into TrakAx using audacity. TrakAx will mix all wav and mp3’s to create your own mixes. It will encode the mix to wav or wmv’s.

To render a mix, click on the render button in the top right hand side of the mixing screen. Screenshot included.

Wow! I just posted this and… You kind sir are on the ball.

TrakAx will attpempt to capture the screen at program luanch. As it is going through the loading up section of its finctions it wants to capture my screen, and have access to keep doing that. So I denied it access to the screen until I know more as to why it is needed.

I got the DL from this site directly, the one you mention I also use a lot and have helped locate a few undesired issues with programs in the past for them.
I didn’t know this program was hosted by them as well, that is good to know.
http://virusscan.jotti.org/ I run my programs through sites like this, so far these along with my system configurations I have done fairly good keeping track of things in my box. Some of the sites allow for splitiing files, others do not. Those that do not I just compress the file using ZIP Genius and upload the now small enough file for them to scan, and or email the program to them for results on larger files.

So I was not saying this was an issue or malware as I pointed out. This was a what does this program do with the screen captures it may take. If I do not have control over when and what this program sees and captures on my screen then it will not have that function. Malware or not.

I know such questions are touchy and most times people asking them are freaked out and yelling… Not me, I have learned it is best to just ask the people who support, and make the software as most times it is nothing major and is a legit finction for part of the program. I am just nosey is all really.

DAOH! Render… LOL So that is what that is for I was thinking what is to render? This is not a 3D model program… O,o And, videos to help an Expert Noob like me… AWESOME! LOL

As you can tell I just LOVE this program, and once I learn it I want to make Traks to share with you all for free as to get more music that can be used freely out online.

This is the most well thought out, designed program like this I can locate… I just realized something… O,O

I recall seeing a little video player type screen in the program… Can this program be used to capture video on my computer? I mean can I say open one player and then target or use a loop selection tool to place over the video and capture it?

If it can do this… O,o DOAH! That is what this program uses screen capture for.

I need to look again LOL as I only thought this was a music loop making tool… O,o

On your points

TrakAxPc should not be asking to capture your screen at start-up. The application should just run and open up for you.It should not ask your permission to run anything. Maybe you have another application running?

TrakAxPC does not contain screen capture capability at this time. The video screen is for you to mix, edit and preview video files brought into the application. The application is video mixing tool as well as an audio mixing tool.

WOW you are awesome for getting back so fast. LOL Not used to that.

TrakAx does not ask me if it can do this. I have a few other software programs that keep tabs on everything, well most everything going on in my box. And I got one alert to the initial fact this program wants or needs access to screen. Once I declined that and just before it fully opened another porgram I use paused TrakAx right in the openning sequence and alerted me to TrakAx wanting to be able to have the ability to capture my screen and to have it set as a normal condition.

I mean I am not upset or anything with it, as after realizing that TrakAx does have video abilities… O,o That would or could explain the need for this. However, if the program was never designed to do this, or does not contian the code to enable that feature… I did download this porgram as I mentioned from this site. And maybe the creator(s) need to be aware of it.

No attempts to hook my keybaord where made just to let you or them know.

I am very impressed with how fast you are with your replies, and on what is a touchy subject also. I was mainly concerned before knowing it had video also… Now I feel silly. LOL

Well I am off to mess with the sounds I have and see what I can make with them.

Apologies if this solution is now redundant, but I have only just been able to log onto the forums to post it.
With regard to the problem raised by Robe on 20/01/08 - the trakAxPC program fails to start up properly, getting stuck on the splash screen with the text ‘initialising Video Transitions’. The problem was traced to the qedit.dll file with no clear solution. I also suffered from this issue and so I did a little digging around the net. It seems there is some sort of conflict over this file when you have trakAxPC, Internet Explorer 7 and (for me at least) intervideo windvd creator installed on your machine.
Can’t explain the technicalities, but the solution for me was to uninstall windvd creator, but reverting back to Internet Explorer 6 would also work.

Hi! I downloaded Trakax, and i got the packs that you can get free on your site, I was wondering, It seems like a great program! I might just buy some of the packs your offer on your site some time! but i was wondering if it was legal to use the mixes you can make on the program as background music for youtube sites? provided that they are not used to make any profit?
