Hello.

I have the HTC TyTN II (AT&T;Tilt). I downloaded the QVGA trial version. During the install, it starts the installation on my phone then randomly stops and says that the installation was unsuccessful. I’ve soft reset my phone and ensured no other programs were running other than ActiveSync.

Any ideas?

Hi - thanks for your mail.

This error may be caused by insufficient room on the HTC TyTN’s memory. Try installing the application on the SD Card - it will run from the SD Card in exactly the same way. We currently run two HTC TyTNs here and have no issues to date.

Let me know whether this works for you - if not, please drop me a line at and I can forward you the Cab file Eval Version, which you can install directly.

Many thanks!

I found the CAB file in the directory where the install file was unpackaged… thus I got it installed.

Thanks.

Great Stuff - the application has been signed by Verisign and has Microsoft Certification, so there should (normally) be no issues installing the MSI file.

We obviously like to get to the bottom on this issue anyway - Are you using Vista by any chance?

Apologies for any inconvenience and glad that you’re up and running.

Yes, I am using Vista. However, I was not having the issue on the computer but on the phone.

I got it installed though… smile
