Hi there.

I don’t know why, but there’s something strange hapening here…
I just drag and drop a media file (mp3, wave, mp4, whatever) to the Mix Window and click on PLAY.
Nothing hapens but the Mix window on the Tab start to blink.

Not to mention the fact that every file I drop on mix Window NEVER starts on ZERO time point (no matter how I try to drag them to).

I am using Windows 7 Home Basic full updated and the latest TrakAxPC (AFAIK).

What can I do to fix that?

Oh, and BTW, that Tempo (BPM) tool is hard to deal with as I don’t know what…
...I must to load and turn that off for every file I get… (oh, boy...)

Hi Marcelo,

The issue you are seeing with the playback is more than likely a soundcard issue.

To fix this in trakAxPC go to Options in the Main Toolbar and select “Mixer Configuration” (see screenshot attached)and then in the drop down box select the sound card you are using for playback( see screenshot).

Then click ok.

Hopefully when the correct device is selected, this will solve your issue.

You may need to close down the current mixing screen and open up a new one (make sure the mix you are working on is saved).

If you want to make sure this doesn’t happen again, select Tools > Sounds and Audio Services in the main toolbar and then in the playback window select the device that you use for your audio playback so this will not happen again.

-----

As trakAxPC is also an audio mixer as well as a video mixer, when the user inserts an audio track that is not part of a video into the mixing screen it analyses the track for its BPM/tempo. This allows users to mix music, soundtracks and Dj Mixes as well as video tracks.

When an audio track (without video) is brought into the mixing screen, it bound to a global tempo of 120bpm to allow users mix and beatsync audio tracks for their music creations.

To disable the track from the global tempo and play at its normal detected BPM/Speed click on disable track from beatsyncing button in the track name (it is a little icon with a drum on it) - you can align your audio track to the start of the mixing window.

Please see our wiki with a video included to get a better understanding.

I hope this answers your query, but please drop us a line at any stage if you require any further information.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Catriona

Hi Azraic,

Thanks for your mail and sorry you are experiencing this issue.

This is more than likely be a soundcard issue.

To fix this in trakAxPC, go to Options in the Main Toolbar and select “Mixer Configuration”:

and then in the drop down box select the sound card you are using for playback.

This should solve this playback issue. Once the playback is working correctly and if you are still experiencing issues, please let me know and we look into it immediately.

Best regards,

Colm

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Are you using a trial version of the software? Has your 30 day free trial expired?

After the 30 day free trial has expired, trakAxPC reverts to the free version.

The free version does not allow users to mix or edit MP4’s and you must upgrade to the full version in order to mix these files.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Colm

no I’ve only had it for a few days. It worked fine until I help shift and clicked a piece of the video to move to that particular part and since I did that it does the blinking/will not play symptoms occur. It happened before and I had to remake the video which I did, but only last time did I realize holding shift and skipping to a spot of the video caused this to happen. I can use screen capture and show you exactly whats going on if you want.

NVM i just clicked remove loop region and it works LOL
