How can I get the files I have on my DeskTop with the Media Browser?
This has been so frustrating to me.
I cannot find the DeskTop icon on the Media Browser Explorer.
I place files I’m working with on the Desktop temporarily
What am I missing?
Thanks,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo

Thanks for your mail.

The Media Browser works in the same way as Windows explorer.

Your desktop will be placed in your C: Drive, then Users (select you if you have multiple users set up on your PC)

Then in in User folder, select desktop.

I have done a screenshot of my PC to help you.

You can also use the Scan Tab to search for files in specific folders.
To learn how to use the scan feature in the Media Browser, please see our wiki with a video included.

BTW what file formats are you looking to mix? AVI, MP4 or WMV?

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Best regards

Cormac

AVI, Wav, MP3, etc

Thanks for your answer.
But, isn’t it possible to have the Desktop icon along with the other important icons like in the Windows Explorer? Instead of having to search for it “deep inside” the way you showed above?

I found a workaround..... I just make the TrakAxPC window smaller and dragged the files I wanted from the DeskTop into the mixing window. It worked!

Regards,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo

Thanks for the update. Yes you can add files from the desktop or windows explorer directly into the Mixing Screen so I am happy you are up and running.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Best regards

Cormac
