hey thanks for makin such an awsome free program. Im having trouble doin any video making :(. when I go down to the track cutter I can add my music, then when i try to add pictures it makes a new tab. so the end result when I render is either all picture or all music. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thanks for downloading trakAxPC.

The Trakkutter is a tool that allows you to edit a piece of audio or a piece of video or photographs. It is not used to mix different media together.

If you wish to mix audio and video together you will need to bring both pieces of media into the mixing screen and then render them so that both tracks are rendered together.

Firstly, bring the audio track into the mixing screen by dragging and dropping it from the media browser. ( see screenshot) You may wish to click on the unlock tempo button for the audio track to play at its detected bpm and unlock it to the global tempo.

Then bring in your video or photos in the channel below (see screenshot)

Once you have brought in both your audio and video tracks click on the render button.

Thanks Cormac for the help....when ever you have the file browser up on the left it makes the mixing section shrink which hides some of the buttons, especial like an important button like the render button. Thanks for the quick response.

hey i know at the top u can make the song go faster or slower but how do you do that with different beats? cuz if i change it it makes the tempo the same to everything. like if i want the one on top to go fast, then the one below a little slower.. and etc? right under the number on the left i saw something that looks like the one near the play button but it doesnt do anything.

lol sorry if that was a little confusing i just got it yesterday so i dont know the real names to this stuff

Thanks for downloading TrakAxPC.  I think I know what you are trying to do.
You want tracks to be unlocked from the global tempo.

At the moment, when you bring in an audio track it is being locked to global tempo which is defaulted to 120bpms.

If you wish for your track to play at its normal detected bpm, click on the unlock button in the track name. ( screenshot included).

Once you click on the unlock button the track will play at its normal speed.

The program looks great, but i have an issue with the program so far that being with mp3’s they sound scratchy in the cutter, but in the media browser they sound fine.

The second issue is with webcam when wanting to record video and audio it says “ failed to initialise the file writer module” Please try another codec.

other than that so far no other problems, thanks for a cool little program.

In regards to your MP3 issue. Another user kindly sent us in some Mp3’s that he is having an issue with and we are currently investagating this issue. It sounds like you are having the same issue and we hope to get to bottom of this very soon.

In regards to your webcam and the error you are are experiencing:

This might be caused by codecs on your machine.
Try changing the codec for recording in by clicking on the codec tool buttons and change the codec.
Try saving to wmv.
I have included a screenshot to show you what it looks like. ( make sure you webcam is selected in drop down menu.)

There also might be a conflict between your microphone and your webcam so make sure your webcam or the device you are using to record your voice is selected in the audio capture hardware section.
Change the codec to .wav by click in the audio codec button. ( screenshot included)

hey i was just wondering if this program can be used as a DAW software. Does it have an equalizer? Can i record multipple tracks at the same time? Can this be used to record home studio music like Sony Acid, Cubase 4, Adobe Audition? etc.

I downloaded TrakAxPC a month ago and it worked fine.Now when i’m trying to open a larger song it closes and shows me the “ error report window “.I tried to reinstall the program but it didn’t helped.

Sounds like it might be having an issue with this particular file. If it not too much trouble could you send it to . If it is too big I can send over details for our box.net account where you can uploaded it or use rapidshare. Once we see the file, we will have a better idea on what is going on.
