Hi, I’m trying to edit a video and one of the files is stuck at Parsing… Pending. Its not going anywhere. I’m using the Beta 2 version, which is generally excellent. This video (MP4, generate by GoPro) plays fine on Quicktime and the likes, but just won’t parse.

Any suggestions please?

thanks,

Mark

Hi Marko,

Thanks for your post.

Is it only happening with this particular file or is happening with other files from your GoPro? Before you try this solution, please make sure all mixes are saved correctly.

Please try this:

Stage 1. Clear the Cache:
To do this, firstly close all mixing screens and click on Tools/
Maintenance. ( see screenshot)

Then click on Remove all files. ( see screenshot)

Stage 2: Once all the files have been cleared, close down trakAxPC.

Stage 3: Start the application in default mode. Default mode loads the application in its default mode. This will load up the application like the first time you ran it.

Hold down the f8 button on your keyboard while clicking on trakax icon to boot it. A window will ask you if you would like to start the app in default mode. Click yes.

After you start it in default see if the issue continues.

I look forward to hearing from you and to see if this has resolved the issue,

Best regards,

Colm

Hi Colm,

Thanks for your detailed response. Unfortunately, I have followed your instruction but it’s not working. Its only happening with this video and not other similar videos.

cheers

Hi Marko,

thanks for the response. It is hard to know what maybe the problem, the file plays correct in VLC player or Windows Media Player?

I would suggest downloading and installing the full version of the latest K-lite Codec pack.

http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/KLite-Codec-Pack-Full/1094057842/3

This codec pack is latest version of all the codec’s that you need on your PC, it also fixes any broken or corrupt codecs. Make sure you select all the audio and video codecs in the the set-up except the “non recommend option” at the end.

Then, reopen trakAx and now try and bring in the file you are trying to mix. Hopefully this will sort out your issue.

After this and the problem still remains, if it’s not to much trouble, could you possible send the file over to me using a service like http://www.dropsend.com/ or https://www.yousendit.com/ to see if I can replicate the issue here. Thanks.

I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing for you.

Best regards,

Colm

Hi Colm,

Unfortunately, that hasn’t worked. I would be very grateful if you could have a look at the file and see if you recognize anything wrong. The file is particularly important as it is the primary footage of a commercial tandem paragliding flight I did for which I really want to edit and supply a souvenir video.

What’s the best email address to use for you while uploading the video?

thanks,

Mark
