Well my friend the SHOW yesterday was a big hit. Well for a few people. I had TWO for my first showing of TrakAx come and download it and start using it. I was showing them the program live as I mixed with it, we had some great fun.

In fact one of the viewers suggested calling a version of it Spinergy PRO… LOL I thought it was funny enough to share with you.

But, I have plans to host more LIVE mix shows and now that my 2 GB of ram are on the way taking me from 500MB to 2GB or just under due to the OS needing some always to function… But, it will be a ton more than I have now, I will really be able to show what this program can do. I mean with video, and music. They where blown away when one asked what about a video tool… I stated you got TrakAx right? Well you now have one of the most powerful video mixing tools on the planet that is offered for free. He was shocked.

OH, one other feature MP3 was brought up. I did mention that Wav is a better option to use overall. And, that TrakAX can play MP3 format just not from what I see export or create it. So I told them use Audacity to have it convert to MP3 for you.

THEY LOVED TrakAx and one made an OK mix in the matter of a few minutes.

Nice work on a nice program, and now that I can spread the word of it… I will be.

Hi SpinergyDude

Cool!!! That is brilliant. I tuned into your blogTV channel just before I left for office for the weekend. Unfortunately there was nothing happening on the channel at the time. I would love to know the times you are broadcasting and I will definitely tune-in and be of help if you need it. It would be great to see you in action!!!!

Thanks so much for spreading the word for our application and answering questions, we really are very grateful for your continued support If you need any help or if you need anything for shows, please give us a shout and I would be more than happy to oblige.

Best regards
Cormac

Holly Cow Word has started to spread that I’m the man to hook people up with THE BEST FREE VIDEO AND MUSIC TOOL EVER! Three more today downloaded the program over the time I was on today. I started out not talking about TrakAx then someone asked me to play some music and TrakAx loads music and video much faster than any other Media Player can I default to it as my player also. I bet you never imagined it being used as so many tools in one.

I showed the reverse feature, the effects, how to lay tracks, and even live mix with it. I am going to have so much more fun once I get that 2GB of ram upgrade. Good things I got it for all of under $20.0O

Cool program! People LOVE IT!

Forgot to mention: Questions on what Track Packs came up and I was able thanks to free ones offered able to demonstrate just how worth the small cost they are if people want to go all out making fully original music with out the need for an entire band, group, orchestra, and instruments.

A question for you how can I move where TrakAx stores TEMP files… I want it on my external drive where it will allow my main drive to run somewhat faster. I used maintenance to clean it up. That means I now need to reaffirm all my pieces I use frequently to TrakAx… LOL It was using over 4GB of temp space… Closer to five.

I think I can try to relocate it using other software to force the issue… But, I do not want to break TrakAx either. Any help would rock.

Going to use it LIVE today also from roughly 11AM EST until my pain tires me out… All I can say is THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS PROGRAM Available for FREE. :~)

Spinergy (AbiliTV on BlogTV as my alter ego DJ-Spinergy on the digital wheels of steel!

And, PEOPLE LOVE THE IDEA OF YOU BEING A CO HOST ON THE SHOW! So Cormac you are welcome to CAM up and join the fun live. ANY TIME BRO! Any questions on MAnyCam I can walk you through live and in seconds have you answering questions like the PRO you are bro!

I will tie TrakAx into ALL my shows from now on as I do use it everyday… For all of my listening needs, and such. I need to save the Graphics I made in support of this program to include now on the show… Of course showing off this program. :~)

Hi
One suggestion : A pdf manual available to download from your site.
Very usefull to check all the features of the software before downoading.

Hi - taking on board your suggestion for a PDF manual, we’ve put together a ‘Short Introduction to trakAxPC’ PDF, which you can access from the link below:
http://www.trakax.com/software/support/a_short_introduction_to_trakaxpc_controls_icons/

Thanks again for the feedback!

Thanks alot, found it hard to follow some of the tips and tricks on youtube . Getting a lot more potential out of this software now . Thanks for putting together this PDF document, just out of curiosity what software did you use to create the introduction page ?

Hi IrishFuzzySpartan,

thanks for the message. We’ve been working really hard on the videos for the new version of trakAxPC and hope they will be alot more straighforward and easy to follow.

For the manual, I created the graphic in Photoshop and then used InDesign to embed the graphic into the PDF. I actually followed a tutorial on PSDTuts.com to create the glowing lines.

Thanks again,

Catriona

Hi Cram

Thanks for pointing this out to us. We have been working all morning on finding out what the issue is. We are sure that this has occurred recently from an automatic update from Microsoft. Which one we are not quite sure yet. The strange thing is that it is only happening on 1 machine here running Vista. While other machines using Vista are fine. We are working very hard to pinpoint the issue and will get back to immediately with a solution.

Thanks Again

Cormac

Hi

I did not find any other information on this subject so I suppose the issue (no property for the effects on vista) is still under investigation.  I have the same problem with my brand new acer dual core running windows vista SP1, and I supect this to be related to a Direct X 10 issue. right? (I suppose this since I do not have this on XP, limited to DX9)

I made one year ago a set of several mixes with my old xp laptop and I will be glad to get them working and being customisable on my new PC

Thanks by advance

I am having the same problem as Nightbringer with a small part of the thread pasted below . I was watching tutorial 5 when it states to highlight a segment of a track, right click and then select ‘effect properties’. I did the same thing and then get a dialogue box prompting me that ‘the object does not appear to have a parameter set’ instead of the dialogue box that appears in the tutorial that can actually alter the effect. I am running vista and in your earlier explanation you stated it only happened on one machine that was running vista and it was being investigated. ‘Nightbringer’ also had the same problem and he queried for a response months after the original was sent. The response by Cormac outlined below stated that he would pm a patch to fix this. My question is why wasn’t the patch posted in a seperate response so everyone could download it if they were experiencing the same problem? Or was it not posted as the new version is going to be released soon? I couldn’t find any mention of a patch or link or a solution to this problem in any other posts so please let me know if there is a response elsewhere or pm me the link to the patch to solve the problem.

The program is fantastic but i suggest either now or for the future edition there should be a dedicated page in the forum with a heading along the lines of ‘Operational Problems’. This way each individual problem could be listed with a short heading as i only found this topic by chance using the search option and following the thread to the end. This page should differ from user queries on how to operate different functions of the program (Again there should be another page ‘User Queries’) and should only relate to errors found whilst operating the system. Using this problem as an example the heading could be ‘Effect Properties-Object does not appear to have a parameter set’. It would save a lot of time searching the forum trying to find if someone else has listed the problem and secondly it would assure a listed timeline of question then answer as the answer to this was jumbled in between a list of other questions and answers. I also think if Nightbringer wouldn’t have written in there possibly wouldn’t have been a response at all as there seemed to be no organisation in the thread i was reading. Note I am merely offering some constructive criticism as i have wasted a fair amount of time getting to the point I am at now.

Hi lazybored

Thanks for your mail and thank you for the constructive criticism. We will definitely take your suggestions on board and try and make searching for different issues more quick and easier.

We haven’t put out the fix for effects parameters online because we felt it was a small issue and not many users were experiencing this, also we are hoping to get the new version out very soon with a fix to this.. Also, we cannot post .exe files on the forum and would be happier to PM users with the fix. Obviously more users are experiencing this and I will make this issue a sticky post on our forum with the fix to download, and I will PM you with a fix also.

Again sorry for inconvenience in finding a solution to this issue and thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated.

Best regards
Cormac
