Hello,

I am new to trakAx.com, can someone tell me how to record the actual PC screen?

I see all this super fancy content but I am not quite there yet!

Thanks, Louise grin

Hi Louise,

thanks for your message.

Unfortunately trakAxPC is not a screen recorder - you will have to download a screen recorder app in order to do this (although you can then use trakAxPC to edit the resulting videos).

I have attached some good screen recorders below and most have a free trial -

http://www.techsmith.com/jing/
http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/ (more advanced and quite expensive)

Full list of screen recorders with reviews from Download.com:

Hope this helps, but please drop us a line at any stage if you require more info!

Thanks,

Catriona

Thanks Catriona,

At least I wasn’t going mad, thanks I had used Debut before from NCH then someone recommended this software, so now I will have both.

Appreciate you pointing me in the right direction, its appreciated.

Thanks, Louise

My Screen Recorder is one of the best screen recording tools. Records the screen and audio from the speakers or your voice from the microphone - or both simultaneously.  It’s easy to use, and records directly to standard AVI or WMV format files. Perfect for tutorials and demos. Download here: http://www.deskshare.com/screen-recorder.aspx

I think you should use some screen recorder, which can help you capture whatever streaming video and audio files on your screen, and it can help you record full screen. If you want to get the video to standard video format, it also can help you capture video to avi, so that you can export it to your portable device or upload to some video sharing website.
