Hi JoeCorr

Thanks for your mail. No, trakAxPC does not have an auto-save feature, you must click on the save button in the main toolbar.
Please see our wiki with a video included:

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions

best regards

As I just sadly found out, losing about 2 hours work. Gutted. I know, I know… “Save often”.

But some kind of recovery thing would be great for those times where one gets so engrossed that one forgets to save :(

Hi jabbamp

Thanks for your post. What happened? Did you try and bring in a file that the application did not decode or did your PC close down unexpectedly?

I will talk to the guys today about this.

Best regards

Nah, I was putting pictures to music. Was using transitions and effects between/over pictures and it all of a sudden came up with dialogue saying the there was some error and the program had to close. It was model, so I could not do anything but say ok. I just did not save, I usually do, but got carried away and lost all my work. I was only using normal picture file (Jpg, png and and Gif).

Was praying for some kind of recovery of at least some of it, but no such luck :(

Hi jabbamp

Thanks for the update. Were you using the new update 4.02.4? We have a fix for image files that have corrupt tags in the new update. Can you bring in that image again? It could be an issue with a corrupt file that we are not handling. I would be interested to find out as this should not happen.

Best regards and thank you
Cormac

No, I was using the older version, I think it was the first version 4 you released. I have now updated to the newest version. I have not tried it out as I don’t have the time at present.

Thank you for looking into it for me though. I will post a reply here after I have used it in a couple of days time and let you know how it went smile
