Hi. Thanks for trakAxPC 4!!  Its been a long wait but I love it for video editing. I make a lot of slide shows and have until now used other software for this.  I find the new slideshow functionality in TrakAx very promising and versatile.  However, unless I’ve overlooked something,I miss a function that most other slide show software have and that is a Pan & Zoom function that automatically applies a variety of pans, zooms and combination of these on each slide. Sometimes the automatic option does not suite a particulat frame in the show, but then one can normally manually adjust these selected slides only. Does anyone know if it is possible to do this in trakAxPC? If not I will have to revert to my other other software for slideshows.
Best regards
Tom

Hi Tom

Thank you for your Post and feedback we appreciate it. We currently do not support a Pan effect on images such as JPEGS and other static photos. However, we are working on developing this feature and it will be included in future releases of the software.

We do offer you you the ability to zoom into an image: (video included in Wiki)

Catriona has also done a video for another user that shows this feature:

You can control the “Zoom Placement” - ie. where in the image that you want the zoom to focus in on. Please see the attached screenshot:

This can really assist you if you want to Zoom into a particular area. To access this window, click on the Zoom Parameters - see here for more information on effect parameters.

I hope you continue to use and enjoy the trakAxPC software and if you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Cormac

Thanks for the comprehensive reply.
I am familar with the zoom tool and find it versatile and good.

Pan funtion on still pictures will be highly wellcomed.

Furthermore once the pan funtion is in place I think you should consider an option similar to the “Automatic Pan and Zoom” in Windows Movie Maker and most other slide show software, which applies a VARIATY of Pan & Zoom effects to a group of slides.  With more than hundred pictures in a slide show one needs a quick way to aply a variety of Pans & Zoom to add variability. To do this manually slide by slide takes far too long time.

Best regards
