Hi,

I was finished my first mix last week & was pretty stoked to hear it rendered out.  Unfortunately, when I render it out there is no sound.

I’ve tried playing all 3 formats (Ogg, WMA, WAV) in Xion
I’ve tried playing WMA & WAV in Windows Media Player.

Nothing.  Both players can play other tracks just fine.

I’m sure I’m missing a configuration setting or something.

Did you render off your mix with your main master volume bar down to zero? Or did you render the mix with tracks on mute?
If the mix is rendered with the volume bar down to zero or if your mix is muted the resultant rendered file will be blank.

Try and bring the rendered file (e.g wav,wmv) back into trakAxPC and see if your rendered mix has a waveform. Double click on it in the media browser and this will bring it into the trakkutter. If there is no waveform the mix has been rendered with no sound. Hopefully you have the mix on mute and this explains the no sound issue on the rendered file.

Well, the main volume wasn’t muted, and no track was muted, but I did have a few tracks as Solo Tracks.  The file did have sound & a waveform about 80% in - when the tracks set as Solo showed up.

I’m going to chalk this one up as a rookie mistake, and not a sign of my general intelligence
