Post here if you have questions about your mobile phone and if it is compatible with trakAxMobile.

Any plans to add the Toshiba G900 to the list?
It runs WM6 and has an 800x480 screen.

Hi Jamie,

thanks for the message. As you know, we currently support 320x240/240x320 screens. We plan to support higher resolution screens in early 2008.

As soon as we go live with new devices, we will post updates.

Thanks again for your interest.

Hi Catriona

I’ve only just discovered your product. It looks great. I’ve got a Samsung Omnia, at 400x200. A weird resolution I know. But what can I say, this is my first smart phone. Do you have a version for this phone or can I use another one of your products that will be compatible with my phone?

Thanks
Haroun

Hey Haroun,

Thanks for your message.

Since the last message, we’ve also included support for VGA (640x480).

Unfortunately, although the Samsung Omnia is a very stylish device, the screen resolution is really unusual and so far, the Omnia is the only device using this display. Currently we do not support this screen resolution. However, if further devices are released with this resoluton, we will make a release available.

Many thanks for your interest in trakAxMobile and sorry we can’t support you at this time.

Thanks!

C

Hey Catriona

Thanks for your quick response. Ya, I’m discovering that the Omnia’s resolution is quite strange. I’ll try the 7 day trial or your VGA and see if it works.

I hope that you do release a version for this, I’m a video blogger and would love a cool editor like yours to create great videos. The one that comes with the phone is ok, but not great.

Thanks again and I hope that you do indeed make me happy and do a version for the Omnia smile

Have a good day
Haroun

The next format on our schedule is 480x800, which will be available in Spring.

However, for the Omnia (400x240) this still remains a very unusual resolution, so presently this is not on our development roadmap.

As soon as we have fixed release dates for the 480x800, I will post them.

Thanks for your interest in trakAxMobile and we look forward to supporting your devices in the future.

Aloha all,

Spring has come and gone and it doesn’t seem like anything is going on here on the mobile side in general.  Any word on the 480x800 (xperia x1) resolution?  Anything going on here on the mobile side?

Hi,

Firstly apologies for the delay in getting the new screen resolutions supported. We’ve had a really hectic few months trying to get the new PC version of the software out and as a small team, it would be fair to say we were pretty stretched. However, the PC version is almost ready for release and we then intend to revert our focus back to the Mobile version. We’ve had a good few requests for the larger screen resolution and this will be our first port of call - trakAxMobile is still extremely important to us and we look forward to supporting you in the near future.

Apologies for the delay and we hope you can bear with us.

Thanks for your message,

Catriona

Hey there..just wondering if this software has been abandoned or what?
Most WM phones from 2009 onwards are WVGA resolution...you guys said you had a wvga port coming in spring of 2009 :| it’s almost summer 2010.  Any updates (even if the update is theres no plans to continue with WVGA I’m sure I and others would appreciate it..)?

Hey Surge,

thanks for the message. No, we definitely haven’t given up on trakAxMobile and we plan to support WVGA as soon as possible. The last 8/10 months, we have been solely concentrating on trakAxPC and with our limited team, it has meant that the mobile has had to take a back seat. We have a big update coming soon for the PC version and once this has been released we imagine we will be able to concentrate on the Mobile and begin implementing both the WVGA version, but also a putting in place some improvements and updates that we have planned for some time.

Thanks again for the interest,

Catriona

Hiya - I’ve just recently bought the HTC HD2, which has pretty good support for direct upload to Facebook and Youtube. It’d be great to be able to edit the video with trakAxmobile first - is that something you can look at?
