I recently got a movie, but the audio and the video don’t match up. So I had planned to extract the audio and match it up with a muted copy of the movie, but unfortunately I don’t know how to get only the audio. Can someone help me with this ?

Hi bekahboom

Thanks for your post

You can just bring in the video clip again and then delete the video track. So only the audio track is in the mixing screen:

Please see wiki with a video included: http://www.trakax.com/software/wiki/Track_Name_and_Properties/

You can then move both the video track and audio track so they match. (don’t worry about a gap at the beginning of the mixing screen as this will not be in the exported video.

To move a segment or track just select it by clicking on and the while holding down the left button on your mouse move it in the direction you want. Use the scroll wheel on your mouse you zoom into segment for more precise moving.(see screenshot)

You may want to set up a loop region so that you can focus on a small area to match. Once you are happy with this area you can be confident that both tracks match thru the whole mix.

To learn more about a loop region please see our wiki with a video included.

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

best regards
