I read in a post from 2009 that it is not possible to crop a video.
Is it now possible?

I was able to zoom in, but when I tried to move the zoomed part around, the rest of the image had disappeared.

Unfortunately it is not possible to crop a video using the current version of the software.

thanks for your fast reply.

A little disappointing - finally I found a video software that doesn’t crash all the time, is easy to use and got some really good features, but it cannot do something basic as cropping?

However, I found a way around this problem. I can use the video effect “zoom” to do something similar to cropping. Not as simple as just drawing a rectangle for the area you want to have, but works nevertheless.

You should consider adding cropping to one of the coming versions.
