I’ve only had the licensed version since yesterday, and already since then. As soon I uploaded the video file to youtube and deleted the original which wasn’t cut with the trakcutter, it started to cause it to freeze up.

Today I can’t use the progam at all, as as soon as I load up the progam and click on any of my files in my documents, the ‘eggtimer’ icon appears straight away and ends up saying: not responding next to it.

I get this error:
szAppName : trakAxPC.exe szAppVer : 3.1.1.0 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

And also this:
C:\DOCUME~1\Tom\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERabef.dir00\trakAxPC.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Tom\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERabef.dir00\appcompat.txt

Anyone know how to fix this really annoying problem?

I tried running the defrag, disk cleanup,my fully up to date Eset Smart Security 4, which is an anti virus and anti spyware in one which found nothing, malware anti-malware btyes which found nothing.
Even tried using a progam called ccleaner, which gets rid of cache and supposely fixes some of registry files.
Even that didn’t help.

Last solution I tried was un-registering trakaxPC pro, then un-installing it. Then re-installing it and re-registering it.
Still the problem exists, so god knows what is causing it.
All I suspect is one or more of the registry is missing or corrupted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Then again it’s not just this program which is not working properly. Windows movie maker does exactly the same “not responding” thing and also another program.

If it’s any help the pc I’m running is:

Intel Core i3 dual core, 4 thread CPU 540 at 3.07ghz,4 GB DDR3 1666mhz ram,Nvidia Geforce GT220 graphics card.
OS: Windows XP Pro with the latest service packs

Files that are trying to opened with the achieve are HUGE 8.5gb and 10gb video files I need to edit with the trak cutter, would this be causing the problem maybe?
Also they are MPEG video files.

Hi Sparkplug

Very sorry for not getting back earlier, I didn’t notice it in the forum and when I am clearing spam that comes into the forum I probably passed it without noticing. Very sorry again.

I have been doing some research on the error you are getting - szModName : hungapp.

It seems to be quite common in the windows environment. Because window movie maker and the other program you mention is not working either, it seems your system, system registry or hard-drive has been corrupted, it is very hard to know without seeing your PC.

If you search this error you can see many thousand of people have an issue with their PC -

http://www.google.ie/search?gcx=c&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=szAppName+:+trakAxPC.exe+szAppVer+:+3.1.1.0+szModName+:+hungapp#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&source=hp&q=hungapp+szModVer&pbx=1&oq=hungapp+szModVer&aq=f&aqi=g-v2&aql=1&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=15875l16415l0l17375l1l1l0l0l0l0l188l188l0.1l1l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=b4cef32500936202&biw=1920&bih=955

I will talk to the guys tomorrow and see what they think but we don’t think this is an issue with the application but with your PC. trakAxPC should be able to open up the MPEG’s in Question but they will take a long time to open and will put considerable pressure on your PC.

Can you start the application in default mode? Default mode loads the application in its default mode. This will load up the application like the first time you ran it.

Hold down the f8 button on your keyboard while clicking on trakax icon to boot it. A window will ask you if you would like to start the app in default mode. Click yes.

After you start it in default see if the issue continues.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Cormac

Thanks for the reply.

I loaded it up in it’s default state as instructed.

Loads up fine, but as soon as I try import either of those files it locks up with the ‘eggtimer’ icon. And then goes “not responding”.

So as you said it’s then either likely to be the system registry or hard-drive that has been corrupted.
Is there anyway that I can fix that problem?, WITHOUT having to backup the important files to dvd-rw, and format the c drive, and re-install windows xp pro.

Thanks
