Hi Tess
Thanks for your mail, from looking at your video again,I have a better understanding of what you are trying to do and I might have a solution for you. You can give it a try and see if it suits your needs.
It is very important what aspect ratio your videos are recorded in originally.
The videos are skewed as the aspect ratio is not being preserved which is unfortunately essential if you want both videos to appear on screen with no boarders or letterboxes.
I have enclosed a screenshot of an original video that I will and put side by side. (see screenshot)
Now, I am going to use the zoom feature so there will be some degrading of the video image.
(Btw: The video is 640x480 and the target frame size is set to 640x480)
I will include links to these features for other users of the forum.

When I place the video into the mixing screen I click on the segment properties to open up the segment properties window.

Then in the segment properties window, right click on it and select Zoom in (see screenshot)
The cursor will change to a Zoom In icon.
Place the zoom cursor over the face of the person and click once with the left button of your mouse to get it zoom into that area. Continue clicking once in the area you want to zoom into until you are happy with the amount.
Then use the slider to slide it into position either left of right.
You can alway restore the image to its orginal state by clicking on the restore button if you are not happy.

Do this operation for the other video as well. I just used the same video again for this example.
You will need to use the always on top button on one of the videos to get a nice blend between the videos. As the background colors are different in each video this could prove tricky but it is worth a try.

I have enclosed a final screenshot to show the effect I got after this is done.
I hope this helps to get what you are looking for and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
best regards
Cormac
