Everything is in slow motion

I’m made a multi-tracked music project with 7 layer. Each video has been recorded seperatly on a Canon PowerShot Elph 300HS. I also used a seperate microphone to mix the audio, which has been finished on Audacity. Since TrakAx doesn’t use .mov, I converted the video files to .avi, and checked them to make sure the video quality didn’t change.

I then created a new Mix with TrakAx, and when I import any of the video, the play back lags and skips a little every 5 seconds or so. Then when I import the mixed .wav audio file from audacity, that track is in slow motion. I didn’t change any of the settings to make it slower.

Why is everything lagging?

Video Update:

I put the Target Frame Size to YouTubeHD and the video is not lagging. However I’m still having an issue when I import the mixed .wav audio, it won’t play in real time.

Hi flatheadcatfish

Thanks for your post

If you want the audio track to play at its normal detected BPM (and not be bound to the global tempo of 120bpm), just click on disable/enable beat syncing button in the track name to unlock it from the global tempo. It is a little blue button with a drum on it. Once this has been disabled the track will now play at its normal speed (i.e the speed it was recorded in).

Please see our wiki with a video included.

I have also done a video to show you:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F37TmNOGMUM

You can change the play rate of a segment to speed it up once it has been disabled from the Global Tempo. Here is a link with a video included that shows you how you can do this.

http://www.trakax.com/software/wiki/Category:BPM_and_Global_Tempo::Changing_Tempo_of_Audio_using_Segment_Properties/

You can then use the adjust length indicators to repeat the segment:
http://www.trakax.com/software/wiki/Adjusting_the_Length/

The segment indents will show you where the loop starts and ends.

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions

best regards

Cormac
