Hi everyone,

I need sme assistance.  My boyfriend is trying to download a video onto Youtube and he has about 5 minutes of blank, basically black space at the end of the video.  How do we go about removing that?

Any assistance like a step by step guide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi kidwynn

Thanks for your mail

This can be done a number of ways

The first way is bring the track into the mixing screen.

Once the track is in the mixing screen, create a selection box to cover the area that you would like to delete/edit by holding down the shift key on your keyboard and holding down the left button of your mouse. If you do not want the selection to snap to grid-lines, right click and turn-off snap to grid.

Please see our wiki with a video included.

Once you have created the selection box, right click on it and select cut. The area in the selection box is now removed, leaving only the piece/pieces of video you want to mix.

The second way is to bring the track into the mixing screen and use the adjust length indicators to resize the track to show only the the area of video you want.

You could also just bring the video track into the trakkutter, edit it and copy and paste it into the mixing screen.

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions

Best regards
