Hi Everyone,

Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our users for their commitment, support and patience over last number months. It has been a long slog for everyone involved and we are delighted to announce that the beta version of trakAxPC 4 is almost ready for testing. We are currently implementing our Nalpeiron protection software and support tutorials and once we have validated the beta version, we will be announcing the release date for the full version shortly afterwards.

With the release of the beta version of trakAxPC 4 imminent, I have created a new video to highlight some the new features available, as well as demonstrating the quality and professional output one can achieve with trakAxPC.  I also hope to prove that one can create a great looking HD video with very little money. The video was shot with a Kodak Zi8 ($179, .MOV), a tripod ($20) and edited with trakAxPC 4 (Beta). Below, I have provided a detailed description of the video creation process and hopefully it will provide some ideas and inspiration when creating your next video.

Sat here with baited breath.

Simply screaming to try the beta as I’m using it more and more.

Does the new version support multiple captions (at the moment I think you have to create a video credit unless I’m missing a trick here)

Regards

Colin

Hey Colin,

Apologies but what do you mean multiple captions. The new version does support transparent PNG’s so you are able to import files and logos created in other applications like adobe Fireworks, Photoshop, etc.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Best regards

Hi,

I was hoping to be able to do several types of captions, one to be able to put a logo on the corder of the screen which I think your saying will now be possible.

The other would be to put circles or arrows pointing to arts of the video, for example the video belw I had to point to the components I was referring to when I would have liked to simply draw a circle round them as I talked about the from within the trakax oft ware.

Hi Colin,

Yes, this will be possible to do in the new version. We will also be providing some simply free transparent PNG’s such as arrows, circles, squares and rectangles to allow users to highlight certain aspects of their videos. These will be free to download from our site.

If you have already purchased trakAxPC, you can contact on me at to sign-up and test the new beta version which will available in the next few days.

Best regards,

Colm

Hello,

I’m still discovering TrakAxPc and I really enjoy about how easy it is to take it in hand, particularly for me that is not familiar with video editing.
I guess this answers perfectly to what we need to do our small promotional videos and tutorials.

I was looking for how to create transparent area (really useful in tutorial video) and I see that it will available only in the next version. So my question is, as I was considering to purchase TrakAxPc, should I postpone my order or will the 4th version available as an update ? And in both cases is there a date for the TrakAxPc 4 commercial release ?

With many thanks for your answer,
Bleunven Christophe

Hi Bleunven Christophe,

Thanks for your message and interest in trakAxPC.

We will be releasing the major update of the software very soon which will be free to all current users who have purchased trakAxPC. The Beta version of this update will be released to a selected group of testers in the next week and once this has been tested and verified, the update will be released to the general public.

You can see what new features are coming in the next update which is free to current users at our development roadmap blog - http://www.trakax.com/software/about/weblog/category/development_roadmap/

We will be announcing a release date for this new update very shortly.

Please do not hesitate to contact with any questions,

Best regards,

Colm
