I’m sure I’m just missing the setting somewhere but I’m trying to merge multiple audio tracks, i.e. get two or more playing at the same time.

I need to set the volume in the segment so each one has a different volume.

So for example I’m trying to have music in the background while I record speak over the top.

I’ve done searches but cant find what I’m looking for.

Any help would be gratefully received.

You can do this with volume envelopes

If you wish the control the levels of volume on the track, insert a volume envelope. Here you can add nodes to control and adjust the volume levels on the track.

You can also boost the volume of a track segment by clicking the segment properties icon of the track you would like to boost.

Once the segment properties window of the track appears, right click on the volume slider. Select a percentage you would like to boost the volume of track and adjust the slider. (see screenshot)

The whole audio segment will now be boosted in volume. If you wish the control the levels of volume on the track, insert a volume envelope. Here you can add nodes to control and adjust the volume levels on the track.
