Hi,

I’ve been using your cool software for a while now. But for an audio track, I wanted a vocoder effect. So, I got a DX plugin for a vocoder and installed it. It is called Sonicism Vintage Vocoder DX V1.01 Build 3.

However, it does not seem to work. The plugin has a graphical interface, which appears when ‘Effect Properties’ is selected via Insert -> Effect. The functions seem to work but the ‘Apply’ button does not show-up when any settings are changed.

The difference I see with this plugin (plus similar DX plugins like this) versus the others already installed is that is has sliders and knobs, where as the others have digits to update.

It’s a shame as this does not allow me to use any external DX plugins and VST is not supported yet.

Any ideas on how the ‘Apply’ can be made to work?

Thx

Hi Sam

Thanks for downloading trakAxPC and for your kind words.

We have downloaded the DX plugin that you have are having the issue with and are looking at it now. It seems that we are having an issue with this DX plugin and its set-up in that it is not recognising changes in the effect properties.

We are looking into it further and I will get back to you when we have a better idea of what is going on.

Thanks for sending it on and best regards

Cormac

Hi Sam

Thanks for your mail

We have done investigation into why this plug-in does not work. It seems to be designed for a DXi interface. Yes, yet another standard. DXi which stands for “DirectX Instruments” was developed by Cakewalk around 2002 to improve on standard DirectX wrt audio effects. We do not support DXi effects at present and unfortunately it will not be supported for the next release as we are in final testing, but it is something we will look into supporting for future releases.

Best regards
Cormac
