When I start the program, I get a weird Windows error.

The error box title bar reads: “Windows - No disk”

Then, the error itself reads: “Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c”

This is really awesome software, so I’d like to know what is causing this problem, and if it is fixable.

Hi Clover

Thanks for downloading TrakaxPC

If you do a search on the internet you will see that this a fairly common problem. It concerns removable drives such as a CD drive. I have never seen this error on XP Professional and I do not have XP Media Edition. It does occur however on my Vista machine. It seems to be more a bug with the operating system than with the application.

When TrakAx is launched it checks the state of all available drives. On my Vista machine for example if a disc has recently been removed from the CD drive then the act of checking the state of the CD drive causes the OS to pop up that annoying message. It a disc is re-inserted into the drive the problem disappears. I have also noticed (OnVista) if I click on the CD drive in File explorer the CD tray pops open. Close the tray. The problem disappears.

We have implemented a work around for this issue for our next release.

Thanks
Cormac

Well, my OS is XP Home, not Vista. So if it only does this on Vista, I’m wondering why I’m getting this error.

Aside from this error, I really like this program. The interface is similar to Acid, but less cluttered and much easier on the eyes.

So, when is the next release coming out?

I get a similar error on Vista Home Premium.

The error box is headed

trkAxPC.exe - No Disk

The content is:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk3\DR20

I do not recognise “\Device\Harddisk3\DR20” Looks like a linux path to me! It doesn’t appear for any other program. Is it s bug in TrakAx?

Hi Teaorcoffee

Is the device DR20 a cd rom drive or hard disk drive? Try placing a cd into the DR20 cdrom drive if it is one and then start-up the program. When open, save a mixing screen, close down and then re-open. You should not see this error again. This is a bug in the application which has been fixed in the new software.

Please tell us how you got on.

Best regards
Cormac

Hi Cormac

Sorry I have absolutely no idea what DR20 is. I have never seen that designation before.

I have 2 optical drives neither of which has disk in them. I notice the error says “Harddisk3” - does that include optical drives? Incidentally I have 3 hard disks in my PC (numbered 0,1,and 2). Disk 3 is the camera memory card slot in my printer. I haven’t got a card handy to put in it, but TrakAx seems to start OK now, even though I have not put a memeory card in or saved a mixing screen.

When’s the new software out BTW?

Thanks

Brian
