re-download of product

I recently had to ‘factory reset’ my phone .. but now cannot re-load my trakax program?
I have tried to upload it from my saved files on my PC .. and from the Back-up files of my phone.

can anyone help.

Hi Kid411,

thanks for the message (I also received your email).

I have now sent you a code to redownload trakAxMobile (for QVGA devices).

I think the best thing to do is to install trakAxMobile completely fresh.

(Just to note: You can install trakAxMobile directly to your SD card if you are tight on memory).

I think this should work fine for you, but please do not hesitate to contact me by email or the forum if you have any issues.

Hey Kid411,

sorry you’re experiencing this issue. Can you tell me exactly what error is happening - ie. unsuccessful message on the device (if so, just a general idea of what message is appearing) or on the PC as you try as you are installing?

I take it on the first install you did not experience any problem?

Let me know and we will make every effort to get to the bottom of this asap.

Hi Catriona ....
On the first install there was no problem.

I have the application on my PC and seems OK. It’s only since tryin to re-load the install to my phone, the active sync shows complete, but either from install or ‘repair’ ..  message reads:

Installation of HighAndes trakax Movie Mixer.CAB was unsuccessful.

I have tried to load it direct to memory card and inatall but this also fails to load. (same msg)…
lol .. running out of ideas now....wink

Hi Kid411,

sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

If I remember correctly you have a HTC (AT&T;) Tilt. We have quite a few of these devices here and there should be no problem.

Also as the application has already installed without an issue, it must be something minor / weird going on.

What I am going to suggest is that you uninstall the application from the PC:
Go to the Control - Add & Remove Programs. Navigate to “trakAx Movie Mixer” and Remove.

Remove trakAxMobile Movie Mixer from your mobile device by navigating to Settings > System > Remove Programs.

Just for the extra mile, delete the trakAxMobile folder from the Programs folder on the device / SD Card.

From the download link provided, try a completely fresh install.

If this still does not work, please let me know and we will be happy to provide a refund.

Hi Kid411,

I hope you received my PM and that this sorted the issue and got you up and running.

I was completely baffled about what was causing this issue, but I think I now know what is the problem. Were you installing the application using a Vista machine?

It seems when the User Account Controls in Vista are turned on, the application cannot install using the installer file - you have to directly install the Cab file to the device. However, once the User Account Control is turned off the application can run from the installer. We are currently investigating a work around this issue. In the meantime, I would suggest that all Vista users install directly using the Cab file (which you should have received by email).

As we had the User Account Controls turned off, we hadn’t noticed this issue previously.

To install the Cab file:

Simply copy and paste the Cab file anywhere onto your device (in ‘My
Documents’/Storage Card etc.) and then simply click on the Cab file to
run.
TrakAxMobile will then be installed
