I am trying to save my mix so that I can record it to a CD but everytime I try to save it, it saves as a txm file.  I watched the video that says you can use the render button in traxkutter to save the music as a wma file instead of a txm file. But that doesn’t help me since I can’t take my mix as a whole and put it into the trackkutter.  So my question is if I didn’t save the individual songs in the trackkutter as wma files and then made my mix and now I have my whole mix done and edited is there a way for me to now make this a wma file instead of a txm file?  I saved it to my computer burnt it to a cd and tried to play it but it won’t play as an audio file because all the programs say they don’t support txm files as audio files....HELP ME PLEASE....I spent days doing this mix and don’t want to have to just delete it....thanks

Hi supreme

There is also a render button in the mixing screen.

You must render the mix to wmv or wav to burn it to a cd.

Clicking on the render button in the mixing screen renders all the tracks that you have set up in the mixing screen into a single wav or wmv file. I have included a screen shot of the render button in the mixing screen. You might need to adjust the video output screen to see the render button in the mixing screen.

You can also right click in a blank area in the mixing screen and from the menu select ‘render as’ from the menu. This will render the mix to wav or wmv as well.

A txm file is our own file format, so that if you are working on a mix, you can save it, close the application and then when you go back into the application it will open up with all your tracks in the same positions and all the effects and envelope etc that you have created in your mix will be preserved.

The trakkutter is really a tool to allow to edit and cut sections of a track and bring it into the mixing screen or create a selection of a track and render that selection of the track to wmv or wav.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards
Cormac
