What is the blend video button really do for you in the long run?  i said earlier i cant get a video to export correctly so im not sure if its seen in the final product, waiting on ananswer now…
i see what it does in the output window and it looks real cool.  is this something that can be automated into the final mix?  can trakax do any automation or no???
hope to hear back!!!
thanks

Hey - thanks for your message. I’ve tried to cover all your queries below.

BLEND VIDEO
The ‘blend video’ option allows you to overlay one video track over another so that they blend together (both videos play together).
You can view further information on the ‘blend video’ function from the following video tutorial:
http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1185114583/bclid1184428003/bctid1213953598

RENDER YOUR MIX
You can render your entire mix or sections of your mix, using the render functionality. You are not limited by the number of video or audio channels you can render.
I have attached a picture to illustrate this process, please visit:
renderMix.jpg to view.

If you would like to render a particular section of your mix - set your selection (you can do this by either right-clicking and selecting ‘Set Selection’ or holding down the Shift key and dragging the selection with your mouse). You can then select the ‘Render’ option to save this particular area of your mix. I have attached a picture to illustrate this process, please visit:
setSelection.jpg to view.

Video Output
You can change the resolution and frame rate of your final video. Choose options in the main toolbar ( see attached file for image)
Then choose Mixer Configuration
You will now see the mix parameters window.
You can now change the frame dimensions and frame rate.
You will then need to restart the application for the changes to take effect.
I have attached a picture to illustrate this process, please visit:

Yep thats what ive been doing but i still get the same results.  nothing seems to be working for me.  like i said, the video/audio mix i made with only a few cuts and pastes came out fine, but my more complicated mix with hundreds of edit moves will only render me a file with a few snapshots and the audio.  damn this is disappointing, i spent about 36 hours doing all of this editing only to find tha i cant save the mix.  i guess getting some sort of screen capture program to save the video output preview windo will be the only thing that works.  unless the ugs get fixed or this works out with a reboot...or could i be missing some kind of codecs or not have enough cp power?  but that wouldnt make sense, like i said it worked when i did a simpler mix, but it wont let me do what i want to do.  i wish it did you should see how crazy this video ive been making is.  thanks for your quick response…
hope to hear back again

Hey,

Not sure what is causing this problem.

I think the best solution would be to ‘Archive’ the mix and send it over to us to look at. The ‘Archive’ function allows you to save your trakAxPC mix exactly as you have set it up with all the media, effects etc. intact. We can then open the mix here on trakAxPC and see what could be the issue that you are experiencing when trying to render it. At the moment, all we can presume that there is a corrupted file somewhere in the mix.

To access the ‘Archive’ function, please open File > Archive.
I have attached an image to show where this functionality is located.

You can email the archived file to or upload it to a location and notify me by email where we can access it.

Hopefully we can then get to the bottom of this problem.

Thanks!

ok i saved an archived mix before i did my reboots and such but i think its real big caus ei was getting videos that were almost 2o minutes long. if i cant send that i’ll send you my newer smaller version.  i’ve troubleshooted it down to a performance issue with either the program or the way its running on my pc, but my pc is really powerful, ive been running protools for audio for years and havent had a problem.
i found: once i restarted my pc and trakax, after opening the mix and immediately rendering a 20 second selection of the file, it came out perfect, but after working for a few minutes and making some changes, the 50 second mix i rendered came out messed up again...so im scared ill neverbe able to do my full 5 minute music video...also i noticed i had one short 2 second clip in the begining where it seemed to keep getting stuck when rendering, once i removed that and it picked up after that clip, it seemed to render smoother...almost like it needed a pre-roll to catch up with itslef as seen when recording with some time code like smpte…
ill try and email or megaupload it to you asap, please check your email soon...thanks again, great with the quick respones!!! much appreciated!!!
