I had TrakAx pro installed and running fine on my old system running Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit, but when I upgraded the system and installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, TrakAx starts with the error:
Trakax failed to start its licensing service. Error code 108
Doing some investigation, I find that the Nalpeiron licensing service is not present on the system. The file “nlssrv32.exe” is missing from the windows\system32 folder.
Just to make sure that my original install file was OK, I installed the package onto a computer running Win XP. On that system, there was no error, but I did not attempt to activate my license, since I want to use it on my own computer, and it will work on only one PC.
So, I am awaiting help from support via e-mail. Hopefully this can be resolved. It is unfortunate that some software still does not run properly on Win 7 64 bit, as it has been out for more than two years already.
