I’ve got a sample of Acoustic Guitar in one mix and want to distort it to give it more of an electric guitar sound. Using the Distortion effect obviously does this but what ever I do it seems to keep the bass really loud and just make it sound like noise.

Has anyone had any luck with making the effect more trebley and more like it was coming out of a guitar amp and if som what settings they used?

Or does anyone have an idea over how I could use the effects to turn an acoustic guitar in to more of an electric guitar sound. I’d just record the sample with an Electric Guitar but I don’t have access to one at the moment.

Hi Suede2

Thanks for downloading trakaxpc. You can control the level of distortion by right clicking on the effects grid and selecting effect properties.

I have done a video to show you and included a link to an DX plugin that might help you with your situation.

and the effect, I am using is

I hope this helps and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards
