I apologize for my ignorance. This is something I NEVER did before. I am a fitness instructor and I need to make the song of my choice a little longer then it is. How to perform this operation with help of TrackAxpc? Thanks!

I guess there are 2 ways to add additional seconds(minutes) to the song:
1. you can lower the tempo of song itself, but that will make it slower and i guess it’s not what you need
2. you can choose repeatable piece of song, split it from both sides and repeat this part by draging its edge

Hi Yana

Thanks toprodek. great way to do it.

Another option would be to go to the area you would like to extend on your track in the mixing screen. Hold down the shift key on your keyboard and while holding down the left button on your mouse, make a selection. A grey selection box will appear. Click play to hear the selection and make sure it loops correctly. Click on the loop play button to make sure. Only audio in this selection box will play until you click outside it.

Once you are happy with the selection, right click on the selection box and select cut. That area will now be cut out of the track and the track will now be 2 separate segments. Then go to area underneath the first track and select paste. A new track will appear with the selection/loop underneath. Drag the loop out to your desired length and then match up the new loop area to the end of the first segment and the beginning of the second segment.

I hope this makes sense to you or you need any more help, give me a shout and I will make a video for you tomorrow.

Best regards
Cormac

Hello guys!

Thanks for your responses! I managed to put together the end and the begining of the song. I just copied the song and paste it as a second track at the very end of the first one. I saved it as Mixx. But now I can’t play it as it is saved as TrakAx Mix file. How can I make it mp3? My converter refuses to convert the file. How can I fix it?

Cormac! I will greatly appreciate if you could make a video. It will be a great help for me. Thanks a million!

Hello again:

I think I figured a few things out. I remixed one of my fav songs. It sounds really good. But now I understand that I can’t really share this file or write it on CD. Free download does not give me an Export option. So I can’t transfer the file to mp3. Am I right? What are my chances now? Thanks!

Hi Yana

You can burn your mix to CD. We have a forum post that takes you through the steps you need to go through. I will make a start on the video sometime today.
