Here is a video I did for the YouTube user Mr Galactus.

He created the music track (which is a killer track, nice and heavy) and you can check out more of his tracks and mixes at the following link:

http://www.youtube.com/user/mrgalactus

He wanted a video with an old school vibe with record shops, vinyl and turntables.

Here is what I came up with:

BTW: He was very happy with it

Hope you like:

This is my 1st TrakAx creation, 7 minutes of coastal kayak fishing action on the east coast of Australia. Close encounters with humpback whales, a few good fish caught and some trimaran yak sailing action. Hope y’all enjoy grin

hey Yakass,

I have to say I am so impressed. Not only is the video exciting / fun to watch, the editing, soundtrack and camera work really superb. The voiceover is also really well done - really relaxed and interesting. The footage of the whales is really awesome. One of the coolest videos I’ve seen in a long time.

Great job!

Thanks Catriona. That being my 1st attempt at using TrakAx (a day learning it, another day making the clip) its safe enough for me to say they will only improve. Not only will I get better at using TrakAx, but I am also about to start using a new cam and audio recording system. So future clips will have sharper footage, better quality voice over (with tweaked volume levels) and will be a bit longer to.

That clip is what I’m calling the pilot episode of my online kayak fishing show. Episode 1 will be released early December.

Cheers grin

Kayak fishing with sharks. In this clip viewers will see how I go about catching and landing sharks on my kayak in Australian coastal waters. Not just catch, but also flee from. Watch to the end to see what happens when one paddles up to a great white shark. The original version of this clip has gone somewhat viral on youtube (over 180,000 views) but this version is higher resolution, contains more info and has a lot more polish (thanks to TrakAx.
Enjoy grin

Wow that was nerve racking at the end with that Great White, I don’t think I would have been that calm. Great video again Yakass, really enjoyed it.

Hi

Just created a new video for the track - I think I am a monster by Phil Kieran.

The clips are taken from the city of Detroit and a documentary call Requiem for Detroit (worth checking out) and all the old great buildings that have been left derelict by the auto industry demise in the city:

To see it in a bigger screen, click on screen while it playing.

Hope you enjoy

Cormac

I love this one!

A video I made to try out the Compositor2. While I do make music videdo’s where I use a split-screen layout to show multiple vids of me singing and playing music, this video is supposed to give the idea that I am in the same room, twice smile

I speak Dutch in the video, but I also created English subtitles using the credits option.
I added a little backgroundmusic that I made by playing some chords on my keyboard (visible on the right in the background).

I even adjusted the brightness in the shot on the left to comply with the changing white-balance in the other shot, when my second me comes in and the webcam adjusts it automatically for that recording.
It makes the combined shots more unisome (is that a word?).

I love the compositor, though I noticed the offset of the source goes no further then 50%. So I wasn’t able to perfect the ‘trick with the mic’ as much as I hoped ; You’ll see that my left self takes the microphone from the part of the shot that is covered by the 2nd overlapping video on the right. I had hoped to apply 3 consecutive compositors to the right-side bit, to enable a shift in the split between Me nr1 and Me nr2 ; start with a 50/50, a bit more to the right when nr1 takes the mike, and a bit more to the left when nr2 takes it.

On the other hand, it’s cool that I can start the video by myself in the center of the frame, then shift aside, ‘gradient wipe’ the other shot into the right part of the video and let myself appear there as well. My wallpaper helps to conseal whatever you might see of the split line between both vids (if ever there is one).

Fun little experiment.

Wow JaJaWu

That is really cool, I love it!!

If it is not too much trouble could you send me the .tarc of your mix so I can see the set up of your video.

Archiving the mix allows me to open the mix exactly how you created it and with all the files used to create it.

Please see the wiki link for a more information on how to do this with a video included.
http://www.trakax.com/software/wiki/Category:Save_a_Mix::Archiving_a_Mix_or_Media_to_Share/

You can archive the mix and send me the .tarc through dropsend. (http://www.dropsend.com is a great free way of sending files. You can send it to )

I would love to see how you used the effect and your set-up.

Best regards

Cormac
