Audio problems

Hi Again:

I bought the full version of the software and I’m hoping to like it as much as I liked the free one.  Unfortunately since I installed it - I can’t get the audio to work.

I followed this post’s instructions (http://www.trakax.com/software/forum/viewthread/553/) but installing the codecs hasn’t helped.

I can’t hear my clips in the trakkutter or the mixing window…

I can hear the clips when I play them with other software.

I have USB connected speakers, and I’ve tried this with just my laptop speakers, and with headphones plugged in - nothing has worked so far.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Shane

Hey Shane,

While we look into what could possibly be causing this problem, I was wondering does the volume meter bars in either the trakkutter or mixing window display any bars (i.e. green bars) when playing a piece of audio?

Hi Shane

You might need to select the soundcard in the mixer configuration, if you have two soundcards installed.

Go to Options/Mixer Configuration in the main toobar ( see screenshot)

In the mixer configuration select your soundcard and click ok: ( see screenshot)

Hopefully this will solve your issue:

Best regards
Cormac

Is my face red?  Simple fix - thanks so much.

One question: Now the sound from the mix is coming from my laptop speakers but not my bigger USB connected speakers. Can I get the output to point at my USB-connected speakers?  There is no option in the pull down for them…

Hi Shane

No worries at all, glad you are up and running.

The laptop speakers are not showing up? I will talk to one of the guys about USB speakers and their configurations and get back you on why this might be happening. Have you been able to use trakAxPc Pro with the USB speakers before?

Thanks for your patience and best regards

Cormac

Yes - this only started happening after I installed the licensed version.

Thanks again

hey Shane,

this is normally Cormac’s domain, but until he gets back to you tomorrow, you may want to check your “Sounds and Audio Devices” Settings and ensure the Speaker settings are chosen.

Thanks!

Hi Shane

Just thinking about your issue with the usb speakers.

Maybe you can try and select tools/ sounds and audio devices in the main toolbar: See Screenshot

and then in the playback window select your usb speakers: See screenshot

Hopefully once the USB speakers are selected in the playback window it will solve your issue with the speakers.

Best regards

Cormac
