I did this video for user who asked how can you fade in and out of text credits in trakAxPC Pro.
I show how you add fade indicators to introduce fades or you can insert a volume brightness envelope.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

You can access plenty more tutorials at the following link

Hi Cormac,

I have used a similar method to fade in and out the begining and ends of scrolling credits.

Using the video envelope method I have the start fade in at about 1/3 from the bottom and the end fade out at about 1/3 from the top.

You need to place some blank area at the start/end of the text segment otherwise it stops scrolling through the fade, but it looks quite effective.

Hi Pictron

Thanks for the tip.

I will try it out tomorrow when I am in the office. Yeah the video envelope does work the same as the fades but with the nodes option you do have more control to make your own type of fade type, which is cool.

Have you uploaded any video with this tip to check it out? Would be very interested to see it.

Thanks again for the tip and hope all is well.

Cheers

Cormac

Hi Cormac,

This is one that I have made:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzf_fPocPos

The text fades out at the end, and credits fade in and out.
It was my first attempt using the technique and really needs to be adjusted a bit, the fades are a bit to early and late, but it shows the principle.
On the AV that I’m working on at present I have a longer fade and it looks better, will let you know when it’s uploaded.

Would be interested in your thoughts on the idea.

Hi Pictron

Thanks for sending this in and showing this.

I see what you have done with the envelopes.Nice one. That is a cool thing about the video envelopes. You are able to control the fades at different points of the video. Did you know you can change the shape of envelope between nodes as well? It gives you even more control.

Was this one large scrolling segment at the end or did you break it into a couple of text segments?

Very interesting topic as well. Are you working in the medical area?

best regards

Hi Cormac,

No I didn’t know about the envelope shape tools, very nifty.

The main text on the AV was one continuous text segment, but the end credits were two
seperate segments as it was easier to get the timing/length right.

I could have used one segment and faded between them, but as the sections are different lengths I thought it was simpler to use two segments.

No I’m not in the medical profession.  grin

Cheers,

Pictron.
