Hello Folks!

Great product, just found out about it tonight. Reading thru the forum I see that you are not planing on supporting the mp3 format, which I don’t blame you. There are some alternatives that are just as good, if not better! cheese

I have been using the .ogg format for a few years with good results, and more and more players are supporting it. Myself and a few others have also resorted to using lossless file formats like Monkey Audio and Flac (our favorite) to archive our studio tracks, for sending “works in progress” to each other thur the net, and for listening. All 3 of these formats are free, and work extremely well.

The effects that I have tried so far that are native to the program seem pretty good, but like most folks I have some favorite VST’s I love to use. Is there any chance of native VST support in the future?

And finally, ASIO support, will this be implemented?

I know, I don’t ask for much, do I? But this program rocks so far, and I can see it working well with the Kristal Audio Engine and Wavosaur to set up a kicking free DAW for folks who are broke. By the way, I am running this on a P3 700 with 512mb memory, and with 11 tracks it has not choked yet! ohh  Amazing! grin

Have a great New Years, and Thanks again for the cool product!  cool smile

**EDIT**

OOPS! Wrong place on the forum.......please move if it is a distraction out here in the open instead of being in the Suggestions section!

Hi Smurf

Thanks a million for your feedback. Always great to hear from people out there using TrakAxPC.

Thanks for heads up on the free codecs, I will talk to development team after the holidays about theses, but they sound great.

We are working on having VST’s implemented in the new release available in Feb and some more nice goodies. cheese

Thanks for all the feedback, we appreciate it and if you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask wink .

Best regards
Cormac

You can download the free EffectChainer DX-VST wrapper, and enjoy. I use it frequently. EffectChainer is a rack, and can mix in the chain DX and VST effects.

Cormac from the trakax.com team here.

We’ve experienced a small problem when downloading the app using IE and saving to a new folder.
What is happening is that the file is not downloading fully when saved to a new folder created. It seems to be a partial download instead of a full 14mb download causing a Win32 error.

In the meantime, you can simply save it your desktop/existing folder on your hard drive and you will not experience this problem. Otherwise, you can use Firefox/Safari / Chrome etc. and you will have no issues. Thanks for checking out the site and Thanks!

best regards
Cormac
