Hi Everyone,

Total newbie here, and I’m lost at the moment. Whilst admitting that this seems to be a good program, I must say I’m totally lost with regards to creating a mix. All I want to do is extract some files which are in JPG format and mix some Music, Edit and post on YouTube!!!
These are moving images which I recorded on my digital camera and I managed to find them using the media browser. However, they come up as just a still picture instead of a moving image on the Output Screen. I’ve looked at the Tutorials, but they do not shed any light on this.

Please help! red face

Thank you.

Hi Nalster

Thanks for downloading trakAxPC.

I am not sure what files you are trying to use. Are you using jpgs or another file format like avi(with the Motion Jpg Codec)? Jpgs are in general static images and are not associated with video.

When you play these files in another player like Windows Media Center or VLC, are they playing like you think they should?

What is the file extention of the files you are trying to mix?

We have a video that might be help on how to create a quick video mix:

You can also access these videos at the following link:
http://www.trakax.com/software/support/create_a_quick_mix/

We have also created a Wiki: http://trakax.com/software/wiki Which explains every feature within trakAx.

You can browse by Categories, so if there is a certain feature you are struggling with, lets say for example auto-selection, you can browse through each specific topic related to auto-selection and get an in-depth understanding of this feature with a video.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Cormac

Hi Cormac,

I normally take still JPEG pictures on my camera. For a change I filmed our cat and these are in four frames. The extensions are JPG. I can play them on the camera, but when I import them via Media Browser on TrakAx then click on them, I get a still picture on the Output Screen. How can I import the 4 frames, combine them into a movie and add soundtrack?

Thanks

Hi Nalster

It sounds like your camera is just loading the 4 jpegs at one time so it looks like a stop motion video, but are in actual fact 4 separate jpgs files being played one after the other. When you play the jpg in windows media center is it showing just a still image or showing the stop motion video you thought it would?

You can bring in each of the 4 jpgs into the Mixing Screen and just place them beside each other to replicate the effect.

I can always look at the file taken directly from the camera to verify this.

You can send it .

Best regards
Cormac
