Problem using sample

Hi all

Firstly, let me say a big “thank you” for creating TrakAx.. it’s a fantastic piece of software! And it works beautifully with Windows Vista.. my search for “Windows Garageband” is over wink

Now, my main query- what sample resolutions are supported by TrakAx PC? The reason I ask is that I have thousands of samples and loops from the cover disks on Computer Music mangazine and Music Tech magazine, most of which seem to be 24-bit wav files. They preview fine, but if I drag them into a new audio track, I get an error about “unable to use clipboard” or something (I’ll edit this post when I get home with the actual error message), and the sample is not imported.

The samples aren’t huge, maybe 1.5Mb average, and comparing them to the supplied loops with trakax, the only difference seems to be sample rate.

Any info you can help with will be greatly appreciated!

cheers

Dave

Hi Dave

Thank you for kind words and feedback on TrakAxPC. There should be no problem with 24bit wav files, it is not an issue we have seen before. If it is possible can you send me one of the loops that you are having a problem with and I can get the dev team to have a look at it and get to the bottom of the issue you are having?

You can send it to .

Thanks again and we appreciate your feedback.

Hi David

Thank you very much for sending this file on. I have just loaded the guitar sample onto my machine (vista home premium) and it loaded fine into the mixing screen and trakkutter. I have included a small video to show you.
I think it might be another issue with your machine (cache issue perhaps) not trakAxPC related. I will pass it onto the development team here and see if they can come up with some ideas but I don’t think
you have to worry about your sample collection as it will play in TrakAxPC.

Let me pass it on to the team and see if they know what could cause this and I will get back to you asap.

Best regards

Cormac
