How can I stick 2 segment without pause between them in MIX panel?
Can I render a movie in an compressed avi format?
Very, very often when I render a file, the program stop responding at ‘Writing… 100%’ for hours; what can I do?!
Thank you.

Hi - I´ve tried below to answer your queries:

RENDER YOUR MIX

You can render your entire mix or sections of your mix either as a WAV, WMA or WMV, using the render functionality. You are not limited by the number of video or audio channels you can render.
I have attached a picture to illustrate this process, please visit:
renderMix.jpg to view.

If you would like to render a particular section of your mix - set your selection (you can do this by either right-clicking and selecting ‘Set Selection’ or holding down the Shift key and dragging the selection with your mouse). You can then select the ‘Render’ option to save this particular area of your mix. I have attached a picture to illustrate this process, please visit:
setSelection.jpg to view.

Video Output
You can change the resolution and frame rate of your final video. Choose options in the main toolbar ( see attached file for image)
Then choose Mixer Configuration
You will now see the mix parameters window.
You can now change the frame dimensions and frame rate.
You will then need to restart the application for the changes to take effect.
I have attached a picture to illustrate this process, please visit:
defineVideoOutput.jpg to view.

CREATING A MIX
As you build up a mix, there should be no pauses unless there are specifically placed in that way. To learn more about creating a mix with trakAxPC, please view the video titled “Mixing Palette” on the video tutorials page:

Well, I work around my problem and I found that when I move the foreground window (’Writing...’) when the program render a video-mix, when rendering is almost complete, the program stop working at 100% - see the attached file. I also saw that, when I do that move, the volume in MIXER WINDOW TOOLBAR and in MIXER WINDOW TRACK CONTROL are sliding synchronous with the windows position.

(Why I can’t attach an image?)

Hey,

I am not sure why you were unable to unload an image - I have checked your permissions and all seems in order. Please ensure the image is under 1024k. If not you can forward the image to and we can have a look at it.

In regards to the problems you are experiencing:

I render a file, the program stop responding at ‘Writing… 100%’ for hours

This is an issue we are having difficulty reproducing, we have seen it before, but not for a long time - we are restructuring the file saving mechanism for the next release which is due soon and we believe that this solve this issue. We believe that the issue is random (i.e. it does not happen on every file save attempt), so it is worth making a few attempts to save the file. Also it may be worth slightly changing the length of the mix being saved (via the time ruler or selected area).

when I do that move, the volume in MIXER WINDOW TOOLBAR and in MIXER WINDOW TRACK CONTROL are sliding synchronous with the windows position.

One of the technical team will look at this today and I´ll get back to you tomorrow on this issue.

Unfortunately almost of all of the trakAx team are working at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona this week, so it is taking us a little longer than usual to respond to queries, but we hope to have you up and running asap.

Thanks!

Hey - just in regards your query:

when I do that move, the volume in MIXER WINDOW TOOLBAR and in MIXER WINDOW TRACK CONTROL are sliding synchronous with the windows position.

If you move the progress dialog box during a prolonged file save operation the entire app GUI will update itself so the play position indicators and audio peak meters will be seen to change reflecting the current status of the mixing engine as it saves to file. It´s an aesthetic thing, nothing to worry about, but something we will look into.

Thanks!
