To mute an effect, right click in the effect area and from the drop down menu select “Mute Effect”.
Once the effect is muted, it will grayed out and the effect will be muted (ie. it will not be played).
To reactivate the effect, right click on the effect and uncheck “Mute Effect” in the drop down menu.
