Category:Audio and Video Effects

Auto selection is a technique to allow users to quickly mark and select a block of segments and effects.

Click the Auto select button and the mouse cursor indicator will change to a broken rectangular shape. Next move the mouse to the target area in the Mixing Window. Press and hold the left mouse button and as the mouse is moved, a shaded area will appear. This shaded area can be expanded or contracted to cover any segment and effects area. Everything underneath the gray shaded area is now selected and the selection can then be easily moved or deleted. Further options will be presented by right clicking the mouse in the selected area.

To move a segment with an effect attached to another position within the mixing window, use the auto-selection tool to select both the segment and the effect. Once both are selected you can move them as one unit to another location.

You can also group effects and segments together. Grouping can combine multiple segments and/or effects into a single unit for the purposes of copying, moving, deleting, locking and unlocking.

If you wish to group segments or segments with effects applied, use the auto-selection tool to select both the segment and the effect. Once both are selected, right click on the selected items and from the drop down menu, select “Add to Group”. You can create up to 9 distinctly numbered groups within each mixing screen.
