The Mixing Window is at the heart of the application. Each individual mix is associated with a tab and you may have multiple tabs open. Each mix is also associated with a file name. This is the name displayed on the relevant tab. TrakAx mix files have an extension of “txm”, e.g. “My first mix.txm”.
The first step in creating a new mix is to press the “New Mix” toolbar button.
You are able to drag and drop media from the Media Browser or the Trakkutter into the Mixing Window. The appropriate track will be created if not already present. You can also paste media from the clipboard using the right click drop down menu. You can load media directly by pressing the ‘Load a File’ icon in the top right-hand corner.
The palette uses two types of tracks, Audio and Video. A video track can contain a mixture of standard video, photos and text credits. Tracks can be arranged in any vertical order you desire. There is no defined limit to the number of tracks allowed.
When you are finished editing your mix you may Export / Render it to a popular file format using the “Export Mix” button.
If your mix contains video and you have selected one of the predefined YouTube frame sizes, you will notice the “Upload to YouTube” button is enabled. This allows you to upload your creation the YouTube.
Note: We would highly recommend watching the full Video Tutorials on the Mixing Window which will provide you with all the information you will need to get underway with Audio and Video editing.
Watch Video: We would also recommend watching the video Tutorial on the Introduction to the trakAxPC Windows which gives a brief explanation of the Mixing Window
