Category:Recording with the Microphone and Webcam

In trakAxPC, you can record in your Voice and / or Video images using your external Microphone or Webcam. To record your voice from a microphone and / or video from a webcam, click on the Record Mic / WebCam button in the Main toolbar.

Once you click on the Record Mic / WebCam Button you will be presented with “Record Window”.

Before recording your audio, you must select the desired Audio Capture hardware. Detected audio capture devices are listed. (E.g. USB mic etc.). Select the audio capture hardware you will use to record audio from the drop down menu.

To record from your Web-Cam, you must select your webcam from Video Hardware Drop Down Box. Once you select your web-cam, you will see the video from the web-cam in recording screen.

Click on “Codec” Button to choose a new file name / location, codec and frame size if you are recording from a webcam. This will determine where your recording is saved, what codec (mp3, WMV, MP4 etc.) quality and the name of the file recorded.

Once you have selected your Audio Capture / Webcam Device, file name, codec and location, click on the record button.

After recording, your recorded file will be presented in the Media Browser, ready to import into the Mixing Window or Trakkutter.
