View Using the Auto-Selection Tool to Group Segments
Auto selection is a shortcut technique to quickly place a block of segments and effects in a selected state.
Click this button and the mouse cursor will change to a broken rectangle. Move the mouse to the area of interest in the palette. Then press and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse. A shaded area will appear. As this shaded area moves over segments and effects these objects will become selected.
Once the block of segments is highlighted, right click on one of the segments and in the drop down menu select Add To Group. In the Add to Group sub menu, choose a group number, here we will select Group 1. You can create up to 9 distinct groups within each mixing screen and each group will be labelled accordingly.
These block of segments are now bound together in Group 1 and will always move as one unit until one or more of the segments is removed from the group.
